Strange New Pomeranian Behavior

by Melissa Neveu
(NH)

I went on vacation for a week and my 7 month old Pom, Sophie, stayed at our friends house. While there she started to eat EVERYTHING she could find, including her fur which seems to be falling out (right now it looks like she just has fuzz around her butt and tail). Now I am back and for the past 3 days all she does is walk around the house, eat anything she finds, licks and eats her and my husky's fur off the ground and licks and chews at her fur on her...then vomits massive hairballs! She has also in the past month starting pooping and peeing on the floor again, even right after she goes out side (won't go outside, holds it till we come in)...Help please, I don't know how much I can deal with this!

TEETHING! Shark Mouth.
by: karen

My little Pommy 'Beepers' had what my Vet called laughingly 'Shark Mouth' at 6 1/2 months. She ate eood metal plastic chairs clothe wood spoons towels leather etc. Her permantant teeth came in BEHIND her baby teeth and her baby teeth never fell out. She had an inexpensive overnight stay and quicky surgery to remove all her little baby teeth and that was it. She does still lick wood finished furniture. Ripping out hair is a flea allergy. Use TeaTree shampoo and Conditioner and use regular Frontline NOT PLUS just Frontine. I have 3 Poms like that. They can lose all their hair and have Black Skin disease if you don't treat. Omega Oil, coral Calcium, Acisophilus, and Brewers yeast helps. If your dog is epileptic do not give but a drop every other day because it can trigger Epi. seizers. I have an Epileptic Pommy.

pom behavior

She may have a bladder infection for the potty problems. They do get crazy hair when they are young so wait and see unless she is causing herself to bleed or get sores. May have to give her hairball medicine if she is getting into alot of things that are hairy. Hope this helps.
