Tail Down

by Jodi

Hi,

We have a 1 year old Pom. Recently after losing our Corgi that raised him died, we got a new Corgi pup who plays a lot and bites her tail. We don't think it is broken by the symptoms of a broken tail because we can move the tail up without her whimpering. So, is it because she is really scared or intimidated by the new pup? Or is it because she is very tired as she does it more at night? Then in the morning her tail is back up??? Thanks for advice.

Hi Jodi, I would say with your little pom's tail it is a combination of all those things you mentioned. I used to have a little Maltese and his tail was his pride and joy.

I used to always notice if he was frightened, tired or sick his tail would go down. Just keep an eye on her and take note when she puts her tail down and you will soon learn why she is doing it. Best of luck.
