Top hair growth after lion cut

My dog had a beautifully long and straight top hair that would blow in the wind when she was outside. Due to the heat this summer, I gave her a lion cut for the first time and now I am concerned that her top hair won't grow back and that she will be very fluffy from now on. Am I correct in being concerned about that????

after lion cut

Judging from other peoples info on this site they have said that the hair doesn't always grow back like it was before...nothing you can do about it. Someone wrote in the other day and was considering a lion cut. I wrote back immediately and told this information and told them to think hard about it before they would do it. I would suggest that to anyone else reading this...as you can't always get the hair back to what it was. Good luck to you...Love the little bugger however he looks...he will always love you back...Mary
