My mother's 8 month old pom has recently displayed an unusual behavior. She will lay down to take a nap, and suddenly start growling (not yet asleep). She will jump up, make a few spins and start pacing. She will growl aggressively for no apparent reason that I can see. This lasts for a few seconds to few minutes. Afterwards, she goes about her business.
Is there a reason for this type behavior? Thank you for any information you can provide.
