Vet costs for euthanasia

Hi, I have a pom that is a little over 10 years old, he is having all kinds of health problems and is in pain. I don't want him to suffer anymore and I need to put him to sleep. My problem is that I have been laid off for several months and have no money and can't afford the vet. Any suggestions?

Call your vet and explain the problem...ask if you can work out something in return. Maybe your vet will allow you to come in and clean pens or do some kind of work in return...who knows maybe it could even lead to a job that you need right now...
