What IS a parti-pom?

This is Cosette, parti pom

I have recently bought my 2nd pom, and she was sold to me as a 17 week old "Purebred Microchipped Parti-Pom". Now, I am no expert and simply fell in love with her picture, but is the "Parti" in a parti pom simply the coloring/markings... or does it somehow distinguish the dog in another way.. this girl is MUCH smaller than my standard red pom.. just wondering if anyone can lend information to a newbie..

Parti is All About Coloring. I have TWO Sable
Pure Bred Poms and Am Getting A Parti in A Few weeks.
Just cuz I want A multicolored Baby.

Parti-pom

Parti poms are very rare. It is the coloring. We normally see sable, black, white, blonde and even silver. ranging in size from 4 lbs up to 25 lbs. What a cutie!
