Will my Pomeranian's Tail Fur grow back?

i cut it 2 inches (maybe just 1) and it grew a little bit, but will it grow the same way back before i cut it?
i am worried. i do not want to lose my pomeranian's tail. The tail is the pomeranians winning pride.
Will it grow back?
My Pomeranian is past the puppies uglies stage. Maybe past 3 months already.
